The Marathon of Miracles Foundation is a 501C3 organization with a mission to inspire, educate and empower breast cancer survivors.

We are doing a fun horse show on Saturday,
September 13, 2008 at
Merry Acres Farm

The horse show will have different classes including dressage, show jumping, cross country and western.

This past year we have helped so many survivors and we want to continue
to support survivors and their quality of life. If you know anyone dealing with cancer, please invite them to come and join us in the fun.

Earth Quake

Last Tuesday Southern Calli had a earth quake, not knowing how strong it was I got to the barn and took one of the horses out to ride. We started up the steepest canyon and Roble kept hesitating. I had no idea why, so I made him go and finally got off and walked him to the top of the canyon. We got across the top and started doing a slow trot. On the way down the ocean view canyon, Roble bolted and took off at a gallop. I tried to hang on and slow him down but he was spooked and would not stop.… Continue

Richard Winters All Girl's Retreat - June 27 - 30, 2008

I just spent a wonderful weekend in Ojai at the Thacher School. What a beautiful place. Our room was like a dorm, with two beds in it and two desks. We had a bathroom between the two of us so that was okay. Cheryl (Richard's wife) had put a bag of goodies on our bed along with a horse wash cloth and a towel. Nice touch that she added to the room. I found this book at the library called "I'm not my breast cancer", very interesting book. It is a book about all these women that have or had breast cancer and how they felt about it. It brings back a lot of memories for me and how I felt when I found out I had breast cancer. I'm looking forward to this coming weekend. I'm going to a all girl's horse retreat in Ojai, CA.
